MLA provided structural design for this 5,000 square-foot public building. With a mission to reflect good stewardship of the land and resources, the building construction used sustainable materials and a green roof. Structural framing steel and glue-laminated framing and connections are expressed. Steel columns, which were designed to laterally support the roof diaphragms by cantilevering from the CMU walls, accommodate multiple roof planes.
