The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center features numerous exhibits and interactive displays to provide visitors to the Yellowstone area an opportunity to observe, learn and appreciate grizzly bears and gray wolves.  The Discovery Building was designed to accommodate visitors during periods of heavy snow and frozen ground.  The exposed heavy timber framing expresses the durability required for the harsh climate that the animals inhabit. MLA provided full service structural design from pre-design through construction of multiple structures including new holding/keeper building, naturalist’s cabin, retaining walls, shotcrete structures, and structural support for the stone chimney and other stone-veneer elements.
